While black teas are fully oxidized, oolongs are oxidized anywhere between 20 – 80%. The result is a delicious fruity, nutty tea that balances the flavours of black and green beautifully. Oolong is a semi-fermented tea with polyphenol qualities (properties that break down triglyceride fats and allow the body to use it up as energy rather than store it as fat) It is a whole leaf tea that is never broken during rolling. Brewing too long will result in a bitter taste. Formosa Oolong Finest The finest Oolong teas come from Taiwan, formerly known as Formosa.
